Thank you for wanting to learn more about me!

Hi, I’m Solo. A socially awkward story addict, foodie, and secret witch in training living in the southern part of the United States. I enjoy reading and listening to stories, snacking on anything with spice, learning new languages, and finding meaning in the little moments of life.

About this blog

This blog started as a simple place to share my skills as a front-end web developer and English major, but it has become much more: a way for me to cope with life as an English Language Teacher, tutor, cashier, college student, and everyday human.

Somewhere along the way, my journey took a gentle, magical turn. I lost someone very dear to me — someone who now exists as a small rabbit on the moon, watching over me from afar. Even though I can’t be with them in the same world, I couldn’t let go. I wanted to keep talking to them, sharing stories with them, and connecting with others the way we used to. That longing led me into a different kind of study — not just of school subjects, but of the world, people, life, connection, and the little magic that exists in human hearts.

I don’t practice magic with wands and spells in full view — I practice it quietly, in the kitchen, in classrooms, in late-night chats with my audience, in stories that wrap around shared snacks like a warm blanket. In my own way, I became a teacher not just of language but of connection. I work with English Language Learners, learn about their cultures and languages, and bring families together through food, stories, and understanding.
